Hi, Anonsaba dev here. Can we have your permission to use it in our project?

 No.276

>The modified Tinyboard templates (post_reply.html and post_thread.html) are subject to the Tinyboard licence (see LICENSE.md). The portions of this software not derived from Tinyboard are released into the public domain.
Guess what, you don't have to ask for a permission.

 No.277

I'd be happy to see this used in other projects.

The previous README.md was a bit vague on what was from Tinyboard, so I've created a branch that doesn't have any Tinyboard material in it:

Heh, so little Tinyboard content.

Why not get rid of it entirely on the master branch and become free? STI is hated everywhere.

Great to see Anonsaba is making a return! Hope to see it finished and with containerchan functionality added. Good luck.

I have no particular affection for or against STI, but the only Tinyboard code that's there is for the purpose of interfacing with Tinyboard. It would be counterproductive to remove it. Under the current repository organization, if I added, for example, a Kusaba X version, that would be another branch containing code from "core" and some Kusaba X glue code. And at that point I would probably set "core" as the main branch on github. I'll think about better ways to organize it all, though.

How about adding the option of uploading files from URLs instead of from my computer drive only?

Also, will you implement a native "4chan X" of some sort or remain vanilla?

Looking good so far.

That sort of stuff is definitely outside the scope of this project, and ought to be part of Tinyboard or a Tinyboard fork, or perhaps another extension.

Or another imageboard like Anonsaba.

But anyway, the code to extract frames and metadata from video files doesn't care where the file came from, so if you or I added this sort of functionality to Tinyboard, the containerchan extension would still work.

This is something Anonsaba 1 had, and we have it on our list to do.

It's good to be back, too!
You can (sort of) track development on 314chan.org/test/
